Hands on hatching and help

My Manx baby fresh after filling her belly.. She still weighs about 6 Oz less than her sis, but she's been playing and acting like a normal kitten, so think we're out of the worst of the danger..still have to make sure she doesn't chill and clean her (she is starting to figure this out)..
But isn't she adorable ♡♡
ETA: promise I don't leave her all wet n nasty looking..lol.. she was just standing inside her bowl of food eating..

Beside a full size BIC lighter..

She's adorable! Glad she is doing better!

And had 1 hatch over night (3 more were pipped).. well these 3 are now in a race to see who can make it out first.. I swear, 5 mins ago none had started to zip..

This is my 1st go at goose eggs. The shell is thicker but I can see the yolk no veins

I'm thinking not fertile.
The friend I got them from said he sets them up just like his ducks. More humidity from what I've studied.
Well poop! Guess I'll try again. Thank you

Yes, sounding infertile. You could crack one open first, just to make sure, before you toss them all. I assume you are using a flashlight that is bright enough, and fresh batteries?

Adorable! Oh she reminds me of my (not so little now 3 years later) girl that I rescued three years ago. She was about 1 week when I took her and we bottle fed her. A neighbor found her under her deck along with two dead siblings. She did a sweep of the property and found a stray adult cat mangled so she assumed the neighbor's rather vicious dog got the mamma and killed her. She didn't even have her eyes open yet.
This is her:

Xs2 I am relatively new to hatching also, so I cook everything I pull that's 'clear' for the birds. Then I can be absolutely sure of what I have pulled and it's degree of development.

No I have done it for over a year on the bleach and left it for days it's fine.

Ok, I give up then.. not sure how to offer advice if none of it is useful?
ETA, your incubator may be full of microscopic holes from the bleach that bacteria is hiding in, and not getting cleaned out be the addition of more chemicals? Either way, wish u the best

@AmyLynn2374, she's adorable ♡♡ I have a weak spot for any baby that's neglected or otherwise left behind :'(
Her mama is an amazing mom, I know it's not her fault.. I think the baby may have gotten a double gene for the tailless-ness. Well not technically a double bc she would never have been born (it's a lethal dominant) but she has super long back legs, even for a Manx baby.. and she literally feels weightless when you pick her up..but I carry her in my robe or hoodie pocket when I'm around the house or working on the farm and she seems to be thriving. Mom still nurses her and I supplement with formula and wet food.. hope she has the same future as your girl for sure ♡♡

No there's nothing wrong with incubator. It hatched 9 chicks before the duck eggs. I don't use the buttons because it harms other posts. It's not the ducks because they bread up in purump before me. I am just trying to kill the dead in it before another hatch. The department of aguculture is wrong your telling me. The incubators have hatch eggs for a year. Their fine.I remember reading the heating pad on a home made incubator and home made cooler incubator about 6 months ago. When I had one of my surgeries . We where going to make one. And a guy had made an aquirium incubator and temporarily used a heating pad on eggs tell his part came in.

Only part of that I'm touching, is..no..not saying Dept. Of Ag is wrong...specifically stated that they are geared more towards huge hatcheries and breeders and their advice is meant for big massive incubators..not everyday backyard breeders with styros...
Best of luck..sounds like you've got it covered and know what u need to know
