I never had birthing classes and they wouldn't have helped if I did....lol It was a horror show!Yeah I couldn't breathe during labor either lmao. Those birthing classes were a rip off haha..![]()
Thank you for the pic! I have to take a picture of the side of mine tomorrow and you can tell me what you think. My lid goes inside the styro base. And congrats on the babies!! So so so adorable! It must be really special getting to watch all those duckie babies with their mama! I've got 3 new chicks under a broody. They came out today and were yelling at her to get off the nest and take them to play. So I felt under her and sure enough someone managed to lay a new egg in the few hours I didn't check and she was sitting on it with a vengeance!
Oh, thank you! Going to check my emails now!@RubyNala97 about the lack of notifications from BYC (I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else had a problem), I contacted Sumi who gave me the link for: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ifications-please-read-and-reply-with-details so I left Nifty a post and he looked into it and it's all fixed now and I am getting my notifications again! Yay!!
Tell me about it! First one was a nightmare! Second one was emergency c-section, last one was 2 weeks overdue and I had to be induced but it was a breeze. Thank god. Made up for the first two!I never had birthing classes and they wouldn't have helped if I did....lol It was a horror show!
Are you removing the chicks as you go or waiting for all of them to hatch forst?![]()
thank you both!!Perfect answer! I was trying to figure out the days.
The one was enough for me. The delivery room looked like a blood bath, the dr had to wipe his feet off on a towel before leaving the room so he didn't track blood out the door, I had (according to him) between 30-40 stitches and when the nurse came in to roll me to my room all she could say was, "I'm glad I am not housekeeping"....lol It was all worth it though. Just not something I ever wanted to happen again.....lolThank you for the pic! I have to take a picture of the side of mine tomorrow and you can tell me what you think. I just went into the hospital, got up on the bed, assumed the position and told the babies "Go into the light......into the light...." and they walked right out.
