Hands on hatching and help

Hi all...after advice;
RE: Helping the hatch & developing air sacks..too wet? What to do? How to help?

I am a newbie. My only experience is I have hatched 2 geese eggs a few weeks ago and had a Silkie egg that developed but never hatched, not sure why so I buried in the back garden after day 35! :(

Currently, I now have 6 Silkie eggs at day 22 in the incubator, but like the previous Silkie, small air sac, moving inside (slightly) but I am concern that they are too wet?? I'm so worried that I'll loose them all! Any advice on what can be done and how to help?? would be be helpful.

Can you give us a few more details on how the initial days have been? What kind of incubator, fan or no fan, how have your temps and humidity been? Are you using accurate meters?

There's not much you can do this late. I'd probably set them upright in a cut down carton in case they do pip. WV gave some questions that will help us troubleshoot with you. What do you normally run your humidity at? I run standard eggs about 30% but my silkies I needed to raise it about 45% for the first 17 days. Having thermometers and hygrometers that are accurate is always important. I'll post a link to my humidity article too. http://letsraisechickens.weebly.com...anuals-understanding-and-controlling-humidity
@RubyNala97 @AmyLynn2374 I took this photo of Kendra with Smudge on Friday and entered it on the Family and Fowl thread. But since I have such a good head shot of Smudge, can you look at that comb and tell me if Smudge might not also be a dude.... Only one I'm not really sure of yet, and behavior has left no clues. For some reason it won't let me post the photo here, but here's a link to the photo..... https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...-8-family-fowl-photo-contest/70#post_17751830 Edited to add: Okay, now it let me post the picture so you can ignore the link.
Love the pic! I would say with that nice big comb, roo. None of my girls have combs that apparent. Adding: Appears to have some streamers too, if my eyesight isn't playing tricks on me....

Is that your video of the goose egg/safety hole? The other ladies already covered it...need more info to help you out. What incubator and what has been your temp & humidity and are you using seperate calibrated thermometer and hygrometer?

Great pic! That's definitely a boy!!

Boy? Then I have to start checking all over again since most of them look like this, just not quite as pronounced because the dark ones' black combs are harder to discern than they are against the white faces. <sigh> I'm not sure what "streamers" are but I'm assuming they are the longer, more feathery looking thingies in their topknots, right? This is one of the few who who didn't get a 'haircut" so if the others have streamers I've already cut them off.

I know I have some crowing going on out there and I suspected that at least two of them were fellas.....I may have to take a chair and just sit and see which ones are doing that. After that I have no idea what to do because I have grown very attached to every one of them and am not inclined to cull just because they are boys. Smudge I just wasn't sure of.....catch her him going in and and out of the nests a lot but now I guess I have to figure it's either curiosity or comfort and not preparing for laying at all. Q-Tip was so obvious that I assumed it would be just as easy to tell on the others too.

Um, these are tricky little boogers, ain't they?

The #$@! NH hub has lost eggs I've shipped again :barnie That's it, I'm not shipping out of Vermont again, ever. I'm driving into NY and shipping there.

I have been followin from afar and decided to join in the fun my first time ever hatching and my eggs are on day 19 I have one external pip and another one chirping at me lol

Developments on the bad buyer. They have been banned. Everything they said wasn't true, I had evidence to back this up that I showed to mods, and so I am in the clear and they are gone. But, they could still keep trying to disparage me in other places, which would be just great.
