I candled tonight! I'm so proud of me!! I have no idea what I saw in most of them, but I did it and didn't break any eggs! Do I win a prize?? Some of them still have very floaty air cells. A few of them had very obvious veining. And there were a lot that looked like the top 1/4 to half of the egg was solid dark and the bottom part light, but I couldn't see anything else in them. But I didn't break any!!

LOL, lick your fingers when touching the eggs, this will help grip them better and avoid having them slip out of your hands.. Are these shipped eggs?

Yep, they were shipped, which is the reason the air cells are so funky.

Yep, you'll get that, are you keeping them in an upright position and only shifting once a day?

I need help. I helped a Mal positioned chick who pipped the wrong end. From reading here I saw it would have not absorbed the yolk yet so I just got it out of the exterior sack enough to breath and left the interior sack on along with most of the shell then I sat it with wet towel over the exposed area. It finished getting out about 5 hours later but still has a bit of yolk not absorbed and I can't push it in since the abdomen has closed up. It is maybe a bit smaller than a pencil eraser. Any suggestions?

Well whoever said it wouldn't absorb was incorrect, I have help many Upside downers, I love them the best because they are SOOO challenging.. Let me play catch up to see where your at..

So today is day 7 for me. Started with 44 pulled 5 clears (knew they would be), pulled 2 more that veins disappeared. The rest are doing good. My pigeon eggs were infertile, pulled those...gave them a duck egg from the bator....! They're sitting atop it!!

I have them upright in the incubators and they have been upright since each shipment arrived. The 4200 has a very slow side to side turner. With the Brinsea Octagon I just turn the entire incubator. So no sudden movements.

VERY GOOD, you want those air cells to try and STICK, once they start to grow, they should...

Thanks, it is alone in the bator so maybe it will be ok. It was attached to the shell by that which helped zero% and I snipped it off. I figure the worst that can happen is it will die which it surely would have done anyway if I had not helped. Thanks to the good info on wrong end piping here, I was able to get to this point. Thanks.

Did you puncture a little hole? The suspense is getting to me-bet your beside yourself!? What's your humidty at?

I made a hole. It had the biggest air sac I have seen, but this was just my 2nd hatch. Maybe close to 1/4 of the egg. It was still alive but the interior sack was FAR too vascular to touch other than softly putting a wet towel to it to try to ease the shrink wrapping. I put it back it the bator. Humidity at 78% and I left a wick of paper towel so I can keep it moist. I feel like it will die now but I had to try. It's only been about 15 minutes so I will check in an hour for change. Unless anyone else has suggestions.
