2nd hatch!! Not good at all.

The top right chick is one from my sebright eggs? Wow, I'm sorry! I have no idea what could have caused that and I'll gladly replace the eggs for free. I sure hope its nothing genetic that I haven't seen before, but anything is possible.

So what's the incubater seem to be doing? I mean if you don't mind I specifically ask.

Hey guys after making the safety hole how long should it take the chick to hatch? 4 pm here and it's still in there. I'm thinking I would like to give it until tomorrow to hatch before I intervene. It does seem to be getting weaker though. It's no longer chirping or making pecking motions. Maybe it's just resting? My first one from this batch just hatched and it's toes look a bit curled. Hoping my temp is good. Wondering if maybe it's a bit low. Should I try to adjust it now with the other 2 pipped eggs in there?

Ok so the one I helped earlier is in the same spot hammering with its beak in the open spot over and over. Shouldn't it be moving to where there is shell?

I had one like that. I waited too long to start the assist and it ran out of energy. Then I finished the assist too soon (it bled at the navel) and it died several days later.....

How do I tell if the veins are receding?

Moisten the inner membrane after chipping the shell back and you can see the veining. If there's still a lot of thick veining, you know it's not ready.

It's been over 24 hours now. Tomorrow at 8 am Wil be day 23. There is another pipped as well but it just pipped late last night. This other was the first to pip and still not hatching. The second to pip is under the heat lamp... how far should I peel it back?

So it started hammering with its beak again and now it's starting to bleed. I don't know what to do.. should I take it out and try to stop the bleeding?
