Hands on hatching and help

Are you on iPhone? That sounds nothing like my Android app lol
Computer. I don't use my phone for much online crap, cause it's a crappy phone and I'm not really thrilled with the app on the IPad. (Though my Ipad app has the same set up in this case.)

I think she meant this:
The first tab, "activity", if you click that tab, there are sub tabs and they have articles and forums and something else. So if you susbscribe to articles it's in one tab and forums are in another. It should be on forums but mine was on articles and it was right, I wasn't subscribed to any articles....lol

I've only had two broodies that I let brood and I didn't see them so much as peck at the pip when I checked on them. Granted I wasn't out there every second either....lol I would be very wary of a broody that did much pecking at a hatching egg. I would be more afraid it was going to peck it maliciously.
So my hatch is over and I got three ACs and five keets. Of the five, one looks to be lavender (I think), two look like they're pinto, one looks like maybe royal purple, and one looks to perhaps be lavender pinto. So that's not bad! And I set the others that I ordered last night. Of course the darn power went out, but I keep hand warmers on hand to deal with that so the incubator didn't get too cold. I'll be candling tonight to check if my eggs made it.
Congrats!

@WVduckchick Well, whaddya know! After a night snuggling with his two 'sisters', here's the little guy this morning - the only way I can tell it's him is because of his size. There is no sign of him having had any problem, I can't see his sore tummy at all! And boy, he is one lively little duck - he's got all the characteristics of an annoying little brother! Thank you so much for your help!

Had a family day today so I haven't been on since this morning. Looks like there has been alot of activity! Congrats on all the hatches I can't wait to see pics!! :) I know I said I was done with hatching but I have so many roosters and got barely any hens lol. I ended up ordering some chocolate and chocolate cuckoo fluffy butt orpingtons. Trying to get some Mille de fluer, spelling, leghorns but we will see.. it's seriously an addiction lol!! I'll try to get through everyones post here in a bit with responses if I can. Husband said chickens take up to much of my time haha

Day 15. 99.8 temp and 35% humidity. Any suggestions?

These are standard birds. No bantams made it. Grrr. Stupid postal service.

Oh my goodness! He's sooooo cute! I'm very happy for you and those babies. You did a great job! I was happy to play a small part and mainly provided moral support. You had it all covered. :hugs

Will a hen assist a chick trying to get out of its shell?
Call ducks are known for helping, and I believe other ducks will sometimes too... scary sight though... they just start tearing chunks of shell off and can be hard to tell if they're helping or not, lol...

I have the worst luck with bantams for some reason. I think it's because they lose humidity so fast and our ambient temps/humidity is hot and dry. Don't know how your weather is but because of mine I run my humidity about 45 percent through and I keep my temp set a little lower at 99.3 since my incubator runs warm. Good luck and I'm sorry about your bantams. I've been there and I know it's a bummer.. :(

@RavynFallen Sorry, had a busy day today and only just saw your message. Thank you for the suggestion abou the vitamins - I'll try to hunt some down. He's doing really well, thankfully. I do honestly think he'd have been dead within half an hour, he was utterly wedged. His lower back and bum were trying to break through the membrane and it wasn't working, so I just hope I did do the right thing but who knows? I can't figure out how he managed to turn at that late stage, and how he was managing to breathe, as his bottom emerged first with his legs squashed in, and his head came last. I think some of his writhing about that was visible through the membrane may have been him changing his position, but it was a bad move for him. Just thankful he recovered, I didn't need that fright, and he most certainly didn't. Thank you again for your help.

He's alive, happy and doing well... you did the right thing... :)
I didn't do much of anything, just glad WV was there during the critical time...
Those vitamins are wonderful, so if you can find them they're really good to keep on hand...
And he's a gorgeous little duckie... :)
