Collecting eggs now for 7 days to hatch. Can I "turn" them in my Brinsea Octagon automatic turner? I wondered if there is enough air inside without the fan on.

Yay another chick just hatched! 5/9
Also the one that pipped at 5:30 has indeed pipped on the opposite side of the air pocket?!?! Is that ok?
It is chirping and breathing (you can see through the hole) would this be called a breach? Like a baby is upside down?
All weekend? Yes I think I would definitely remove the air cell cap of the shell.
Congrats! How long has the one had the big hole? Does it keep trying to just make it wider? Might need to intervene and help it out a little.![]()
My little group from the weekend. They are so friendly!

Ok thanksthis is my first incubation and man oh man so many people doing so many different things...lol the no paper towels makes since I was just afraid they were getting to dry. I just read the shrinkwrapped thread and terrified that is what is going to happen!! :/

Oh yes, definite malposition! Sometimes those can hatch on their own, looks like a nice clean hole, so it can breathe fine. But the pointy end of the egg doesn't always have enough room for it to rotate. Being a nice fat egg, it could very well do fine on its own.
Ugh, that's a tough decision. I would probably give it a little more time (like to maybe 18-20 hours-ish), then chip away some of the shell around the pointed end, moisten the membrane looking for active blood vessels. If no heavy blood vessels, then consider peeling the membrane off. Then let the chick kick out on its own.Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
And congrats on #6!! :yiipchick
