Hands on hatching and help

You are welcome.
Ouch 3? They must have really had a rough journey. Congrats on the hatchers though.

Yup :( shipping, plus factor in the lethal gene.... Not my best hatch. :/

I set 10 eggs a week behind today. Out of the original 22 I set 16 started developing, 6 clears. One quit day 5, so I have 15 and need 14 to fill the first 3 orders. Curious to see how many develop out of these 10 because the next order is for between 5-10. I have two more inquiries in for the April hatch, but have no idea how many either are looking for. I marked air cells this morning for the day 7 eggs. They look good so far. I am telling you though, this bator is rock steady. I went out of town yesterday, took my dad to get groceries and out to lunch, then Cade and I took a trip to Walmart today and I never once worried about temp spikes or anything. It felt good...lol. You can incubate and get sleep and have a life! Lol

Nice! :thumbsup

Trader Joe's sells fertile eggs, and someone told me Whole Foods does too but I don't have anything to back that up. There is a thread on BYC about hatching Trader Joe eggs - you should be able to put it in the search box and find it. Good luck!

Another junkie hatch never a dull moment. I just started using the Dickeys cabinet incubator and had been doing staggered hatches well after my last batch dried out and shrink wrapped I moved the latest 2 hatches into separate smaller hatchers one due last night one due tomorrow some from both hatched no problem others pipped made no progress and started looking dried out (24 hours post pip a cpl partially zipped etc) so I started meddling and some of the babies were huge some dried out while others had so much liquid even w/ good sized air cells almost like jello some malpositioned etc. all were started in the same incubator under the same conditions in SMH over here I might be able save some but idk what my issue is... in the past they are ALL something not a mix...? The dark eggs that I have had on the wetter side before are normal the light colored eggs are dripping wet.... I internally pipped for the wet ones and tried to drain the liquid somewhat (not a lot of blood or bleeding) 3 were DIS. Any thoughts insight would be so appreciated
