Hands on hatching and help

Pointy egg of the egg. I did as Ravynscroft suggested and pulled it out fast and carefully pried a little bit of the shell off with tweezers. It IS alive, which is good. Still a lot of blood vessels going on in the membrane, so I put it back in the incubator for now. There's a big enough hole now that I can see a part of the chick and it's movements, so I'll keep an eye on it.

That's good. But know that now it can take longer, since it didn't use the air cell for its first breaths. Glad you can keep an eye on it now.

Yes but it is a lot more work. Still air incubators seem to have more issues with temperature control so more hatching problems like sticky chicks and curled toes.

No... recommendations have been given... that one is notorious for frying out, unstable temps, and humidity swings...

Thank you, it happens I suppose. I hatched far too many chicks this year, so I was bound to have some with problems.
