Hanging chicken feeder

Our girls are such enthusiastic eaters, they've unscrewed their feeder. We're left with two bits of plastic, several washers, a spring, etc. needless to say we did not review how it was put together. Any images or descriptions as to how to reassemble it would be greatly appreciated.

The large washer is going to go on the bottom. If there is a lock washer, that goes on next, and then the wing nut goes on next.

Chickens sure can feed with gusto! Great to have you aboard and enjoy BYC!

The "wing" nut goes on the post first then the spring then put through the feeder and then the base then the big washer then the hex nut. Hope this helps! One more thing, you can use the wing nut on top to make the base and feeder tighter together to make it harder for them to waste feed.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! I always wind up putting another washer under/over the top wing nut so the birds don't unscrew them so fast. www.miller-mfg.com/media/document/1/phf11phf22phf3instructions.pdf is a pdf file with assembly instructions for that type from Miller Mfg.

I haven't heard of chickens doing that before, your flock must be over achievers.
