Sourland is already on my list but I am dealing with that in another thread.

I have not seen Spook around so you must be the guilty party.

My darling Em...enjoy your special day.

That twenty fourth bithday must be something special
for young women, seeing as how they seem to keep
"repeating" it.

Inquiring minds want to know...

How many times does this make it now, that you've turned 24?
We seem to have lost count.

---------------------------

And on this one I had to ask my wife...she said 24 is really special
for a woman. That's when the wrinkles start, and the first gray hair.

But don't give it a minutes worry, Em.

We love you anyway.

Nope, I'm not going to repeat the same birthday twice. I've decided I'm going to skip ahead and start telling people I'm 40. That way, they can say I look good for my age.

Only for you, my most precious friend, will I say this

Optimus est etiamnunc advenio.

Never as you say, Eheu, fugaces labuntur anni.

Let those words fall from you memory, never to be said again.

Spook

Spook, too true. To be entirely honest, this is the first birthday I've had in many years that wasn't depressing. I turned my phone on silent and just spent the whole day with my daughter and niece. We went to the zoo, then came home and swam in the pool, then picked blackberries and fed the cows. Couldn't have spent a better day just watching them play.

Eenie, yes they are both gorgeous. Both incredibly intelligent, sweet, and perfect. And anyone who says otherwise obviously has no idea what they're talking about.

Shall we assume the little girl in pink is your daughter?
Her name....I don't think you've ever said. Or perhaps
like an old tarzan movie, it's simply "Girl'? I've heard of
that being popular in the Carolina's.

For those who don't play with latin, the two quotes are
along of Em saying the fleeting years are passing, and
mine should be somewhere close to telling her the best
is yet to come.

For us all...May the best always be yet to come.
