I totally understand the desire to rescue chickens and commend you for following through on your plans.

I bought a second piece of property just to have a place to house the roosters growing up in my flock. Just could NOT keep sending them away any more; re-homing wasn't a guarantee they would be safe. And it broke my heart giving them to good friends who needed the meat but would process them humanely. These boys were MINE, either chicks I hatched in incubators or my hens hatched. They are my GrandChicks!

I am actually moving most of my flock to that new location, not just the roosters. Kudos to you for taking in rescue chickens. (I have enough of my own...)
