Hard boiled egg question

Oh my, there have been many hours devoted to this on BYC. Go to the Index, above left in the blue bar, and look at the recipes section. There is a whole category in the recipe index.

The main thing is that fresh eggs are harder to peel, kind of makes you worry about the age of store eggs!

Store eggs are from 2 weeks to a month old when the stores get them. The best way to peal a fresh egg is to put it in the fridge for a week and then boil it. I have tried every way. The only thing that absolutely didn't work was vinegar in the water. I never had an egg peal nice when I tried that.
