Hard Crop in Pullet Please Advise

UPDATE and cry for help: After spending the night in the coop with the others...all food was removed, water only...the crop is still huge and full. I brought her back in and put her in the kennel with aviacharge water. She is now refusing the oil-soaked bread...maybe she'll get hungry and try it later. I have to work all day...and can only instruct my husband and father as to her care. She is still feisty, and behaving normally...and now, kind of angry...she really wants back out. But I have to assume that if I leave her to her own devices, she will just continue to pack that already-packed crop. I hope I'm doing the right things. I do suspect souring, as she burps...I think fermentation is going on in the crop. I'm afraid the clock is ticking and she's going to go downhill as she isn't getting nutrients. I've PM'd Diane, but while I wait...any help from other experts is greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear that. Use 'search' for 'sour crop' there have been a lot of threads on it lately.

We've found an avian vet...taking her in. Feeling more hopeful now.

UPDATE: The vet says that Betsy is so impacted that they cannot flush the crop, but must do surgery. It's expensive...but I'm going to do it. Cost-wise, it makes no sense...emotion-wise, there is no other choice. I hope she survives the anesthesia...and that there is no irreparable damage. Hopefully, the money spent will be worth it, and she will flourish.

UPDATE: Betsy came through surgery ok. She was full of sand, feed, and other edibles. They said it basically turned to concrete. They live on a sand run (I thought that was a good thing!). Any suggestions?
