Hello,
Just as I thought all my ladies were done hatching their chicks boom I have another broody lady.
This hen in particular is really really hard to break of it even in “chicken jail”.
Now don’t get me wrong I love my ladies being happy Mama’s raising their chicks.
The issue is it’s getting pretty late in the year and we live in a cooler climate. I’m worried it’s too cold at this point to not be eating normally and to sit for 21 days. Plus hard to find fertilized eggs this time of year.
She been sitting for 5 days now so I feel it’s either like quick jump on it and try to break her of it before she sits too long, but like I said she’s relentless when she starts or could I pop a few day old chicks under her now?
I’m wondering if she would accept day old chicks after only sitting for about a week?
Thank you
