Hardware cloth - best place to buy for value?

We're in CT, and I'm looking to get a good amount of 1/2" hardware cloth to make our apron and fortify the coop/run. Is there any way to get this stuff wholesale online or something?

I like to shop online to see the variance in my local retailers, like Home Depot, Rural King, Menard's, etc.

I don't know about wholesale, but I know you can buy it online. Shipping will be a factor. Also, you'll want to keep an eye on the wire gauge, as if it seems super cheap for the amount, it may be a lighter wire than you want.

Make sure you also keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, people often sell stuff like that on there, either partial rolls or full ones. Many times people either buy too much or just don't get around to whatever project they think they'll do.

How much is that?
Are you wanting 4' x 50' rolls....or....?

Amazon is probably your best bet.
Cost of wire puts you in the free shipping zone.

I priced a lot of places, ended up ordering from my local Ace Hardware. The longer the roll you get then the price per foot comes down. Try to get a width that you can use as is, it's bad enough to cut across it, if you have to cut width too it's not fun, but sometimes it's not avoidable. I bought 100' rolls and it was around $100, that was a few years ago. Any extra usually gets used up around here for lots of miscellaneous things, so estimate what you want, add a percentage for goofs and extra to have on hand.

My hardware store did not charge anything for shipping, I picked it up at the store when they got it. They are small town awesome!

My local small town Ace guy did the same for the first couple rolls I ordered,
TSC wanted a lot for shipping,
can't remember why future rolls were ordered thru amazon.

if I remember both Amazon and Ace were made in China. There is at least one wire company still working in the USA. I will try and find it again.

I have not been able to find any wholesale hardware cloth online. The best deals I have found have been at Menards when the hardware cloth goes on sale. We also have a local Fleet store and Home Depot. Most of the regular prices are the same at all the stores, but sale prices at Menards recently got my money. When I was checking online, it was always the shipping costs that eliminated the online deals.
