Hardware Cloth on Bottom of Run??

Hey everyone! I’ve been reading that it’s good to have hardware cloth on the bottom of the run. I am unable to do that, what are other ways to keep out digging predators? What if I stick hardware cloth into the ground around the run? Or if I dig the frame of the run into the ground?

Aproning the wire around the run is the best all around option. Bad idea to put wire under the run as chickens can dig down to it and hurt themselves. Attach your hardware cloth up the walls a foot or two, then bend in an L shape and lay the remainder on the surface of the ground, and secure with landscape staples.
