Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Ok so my eBay eggs arrived, sadly some of them are pretty dirty 😢 What would you all recommend when it comes to cleaning? Do clean or don’t?
That's a bummer. Can you share some pictures?

Most will tell you set them as is.

I personally hate setting nasty eggs. It makes me cringe when I look in the incubator. So that leaves me with a couple options. 1) Gently rub off the offering bits. Taking care to leave as much cuticle as you can. Which is usually all of it if you're attentive. 2) Wash the egg in warm water. Then apply a disinfectant to the outside. I've used Nolvasan or H2O2. I don't use these methods often enough to give you differences in hatch rates between them but I can say I've had chicks hatch successfully with all these methods.

You'll find strong anecdotes on using warm vs cool water to wash eggs. I use warm because that's what I've found is supported by the most Universities and ag. extensions.

It's here!

I'm slightly disappointed, there is a small defect in the water reservoir. I haven't added water yet. It's heating up. Do you think this will affect the functionality and/or will water leak out?

They are not all terrible but here’s some of them. I may try the dry method and dust some off. They did give me like 4 extras which was nice! But I was disappointed with getting dirty eggs. Guess I just expected them to be better than that. One of them has moisture on it because they must have gotten water in the bubble wrap, so I don’t have hopes for that one.

Is it cracked all the way through where the water will drip out? If so, maybe you could seal it and it should work just fine!

You could patch it yourself pretty easily with some epoxy or a fiberglass patch. For a brand new product I'd say return it. What a disappointment. :(
