I did birthday candle wax! We’ll see.I often don’t see any air cells on fresh laid eggs either. I’ve seen others note that too.
Locking the incubator sounds like a good idea .
I’m no help with the egg choosing questions. The one barred rock egg that had a thin spot on the pointy end that I broke open a tiny bit and then ‘fixed’ with birthday candle wax is developing the same as all the other eggs so far.
Jealous.Four ducklings so far, all in the last 2 hours. I am not getting anything done! One reason I liked this incubator was you can see them!
You have sooooo many eggs! I am jealous!Jealous.

I’m a bit afraid! I only have room for a max of 8 more in our coop. You have sooooo many eggs! I am jealous!
That means you should hatch at least 16, half will be boys! I started with 17 duck eggs, so far 6 have hatched. That does not yet pay for the incubator, but what fun!I’m a bit afraid! I only have room for a max of 8 more in our coop.
Pretty full but I still have several more pippers to wait for!! They better get a move on or that early bird born on day 19 may eat them!!
