I do have a question. I removed 1 since I saw nothing and air cell seemed to still be floating all over. I cracked it and didn't see veins but the yolk was kind of discolored and swirly. Pics posted. Is this an early quitter? Late starter? Messed up yolk? Some were like this last time too.

I'm not certain but possibly from being scrambled a bit in shipment. Really early in development the germinal disc will spread out on the outside of the yolk, this is where you can see the little "spider" forming. If formation isn't successful it recedes very quickly when it's that early so it's possible that is what you're seeing. It's not round because it's receding. This is just a guess on my part.
I've opened super early quitters before and that's pretty much what you see. It's like cells that started to separate and stopped.

Ok thanks. Trying to figure out why these eggs are NOT developing. I really think they get banged around in shipping with nothing on outside of the box... But who knows that is just my untrained opinion.

But the one that was clearly labeled which way up (other one also has them laying flat. this one had them in egg cartons but think they were on the side) and marked fertile eggs, chicken embryo etc. Out of 12 I have 10 for sure developing and 1 not sure, and 1 that isn't......... Received both the same day, but other one was in the mail for an extra day.

For the one seller who doesnt mark her boxes, there very well may Be someone who purposesly damages them in shipping in their area. As much as the Post Office should be a Duty, it is very hard to get rid of the "bad eggs" in this buisness. On the other hand it does mean that the people who do care can't ensure it dosent get x-rayed or crushed at the bottom of a postcon.
It could also flat out be a fertility issue on their end. If they don't trim bottoms the eggs just might not be fertile.

Oh I am sure someone at their PO does. She said she has video proof... She said she has a ton of chicks that has hatched from hers.. so who knows. Kicking myself for trying again even for half off. Over $100 for nothing. Ugh

What do you guys do while you are waiting for a second hatchling?

Last time I totally broke the rules and grabbed them each out even with other pips. They were rolling the other eggs around like bowling balls, so I was more worried about that.
It really helped to have another person there to grab the chick and straighten the eggs while I held the lid up at minimum distance and closed it quickly. The humidity kept bouncing right back but that may be partly to do with my climate.
8 of 9 hatched, the 9th never pipped.

What a perfect little chick/s! 😍 Talk about photogenic.

Thanks! I LOVE my little Lemondrops! They are 4 weeks old now and turned out to be Olive Eggers fathered by a BCM x Isabel Ameraucana hens. Oops! Half are brown, black, and white and the others look like diluted brown with some patterns. I don't know what's happening with that, lol.
But one of them hasn't grown AT ALL except for some little wing feathers, yet instead of being weak she is a tough little scrapper who bounces up on the feeder and eats from above. I plan to do a whole post about her but first I have to get a good pic of her and she is so zoomy and in with everyone else who are so big.
