Glad I read this because I removed turner and pulled the turner plug out on day 18...

I still remove the turner so the chicks don't get stuck in it while hatching. The little red light for the turner will turn off when the turner is off.

Even adding days doesn't help right? You have to do the 'Hold the *Menu* and *-* buttons until it beeps thing...I believe.

I change the number of days by holding the menu button until it beeps, pressing it again to get past temp setting, then use *+* or *-* to change days.

Factory reset is different right? You hold *Menu* and *-* simultaneously until it beeps?

Quick update!

I'm not 100% certain what is causing the random temperature dips, but I'm very happy that the average is 99 degrees...and the highs are right around 100. The eggs are going to settle at the average over time, and I would prefer a bit low to a bit high.

This tells me that...at least at the sensor...the others WERE low. But...I don't think it's an issue. Clearly the eggs were developing just fine. I almost wonder if it's a 'turbulance' factor of exit vent shape, and the abrupt near 90 degree turn down at the window...causing warm air to skip over the sensor and making it lag. The Ver. 1.0NU is much more smooth and aerodynamic, which should allow more even heat, and a better read at the sensor.

It was a tough start, but all in all I'm pretty happy with the setup...and would certainly recommend either version...assuming they're in working order.

You have to reset the number if days to hatch for every hatch. The turner automatically shuts off 3 days before hatch so if it's still on day zero from your last hatch it won't turn.

I would definitely send the manufacturer a message or take it back to tractor supply and see if they can return to vendor and exchange it for you.
