Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Question:

Obviously there will be some variation, but about how often do you usually have to fill the water wells?

And should I use pre-warmed water? My filtered water comes from the fridge.

Or should I buy distilled water?
I’m no expert but I’ll answer for what I do! I usually top off well A once a day. Usually in the evening so I know the humidity won’t dip at night. I believe it’s lasted two days in the past but I just don’t like to chance it. I use distilled water.

It depends on how dry your house is. I can get away with topping off the water once daily but if I find it's dropping too fast I will do it in the morning and night (so twice). I use distilled water because it will keep your incubator looking nice longer. If you don't use distilled water the minerals in water will be left behind as the water evaporates and depending on how hard your water is it can build up fairly quickly.

Oh and I use room temperature water but if you want to warm it so the incubator doesn't have to work as hard to warm the water, just make sure not to heat it too much because hot water can cause the temperature in the incubator to spike.

Am getting my 360 today with my first try at hatching.
I've read this entire thread twice and apologize, if I'm asking
a repetitive question. Here goes, I start off by filling both A & B
reservoirs, before I add the eggs, and keep the vent and both
A&B plugs open the entire time. What do I do at lock down. in
order to raise the humidity, if both A & B are already filled?
TIA
Also, is there a good website that shows you how to read the
results of candleing, so I know what I'm looking for and at.
For instance, how do you know, if an egg is fertile or not ?

You only fill A for the beginning of incubation. B can be left open for ventilation or closed if you're struggling to maintain humidity where you want it but you don't add water to B until lockdown.

I had to get on the computer to search around. I don't actually have a candling article saved but there are a bunch out there!

Depending on the color of the shell and how bright your candler is, you can see development as early as day 2-3 but most people suggest waiting until about day 7. Even with as many eggs as I've candled I still put questionable eggs back with a (?) to check again on day 7-10ish.
