Thanks Kim, I stopped in at Tesco last night and got one of those Hoisin Duck Noodle tubs but haven't tried it yet. I was a bit naughty as I hadn't been food shopping for ages (several weeks) and had been living out of the cupboard and freezer, so of course I went overboard in 3 different supermarkets and you are responsible for me buying two cottage pies that both had cheese on them as well as several blocks of cheese so I have plenty to add a bit extra. I also bought lots of cakes and biscuits and mince pies and stollen and chocolate gingerbread and caramel shortcake etc and lots of crisps because Ian loves such things and of course I can't let him get fat by eating them all himself! I also treated myself to some of those baked Camemberts with Lingonberry sauce.... How can people live without cheese!

I guess I won't need to go shopping again for another 3 weeks apart from milk and bread essentials from the village shop. I got horse, chicken and cat feed whilst I was out as well so that is everyone sorted!

Another new addition to our family! :D Not my idea by the way!
Welcome to Tally. 9 week old sprocker. I’m sure Keepers nose will be firmly out of joint when she arrives because he won’t be the baby anymore. Scott is picking her up tomorrow afternoon. Then the fun will begin!

Uh-Oh! There is going to be "trouble at t'mill!" I like the name Tally. She is beautiful. She has such a sweet but sad face! I hope Keeper is so in love with her himself that he doesn't care about her stealing his limelight! You are going to need a new sofa because those two are going to take over yours!

Surprisingly there has not been too much “trouble at t’mill” :clap Keeper has been much better than I thought he would have been. Managed to stroke them both together without him barging her out of the way like he does when you stroke Mac. He seems to think she is a new item to collect! He did get a bit rough out in the garden with her but in a good way and just doesn’t seem to realise she’s so small compared to him. They have a good play and she was wanting to go to sleep and he was harassing her to carry on. But she just lay there & ignored him and in the end they have all dropped off so we have a bit of peace & quiet at the moment. She is not half as full on as Keeper was at this age but she is from a totally different gene pool so that may be it. Keeper even let her have the bed! I’m sure it won’t be long though until she is also sleeping on the sofa!

Shop shop shop! Was it like “supermarket sweep”? Sorry I made you buy all that stuff but think how delightful it will be when you eat it all :p Good shop there getting animal feed too! I need to go get H some tomorrow. I’ve noticed the price rise, few pence short of £30 for an Alfa oil & a weight gain mix :hmm

I’m hoping the soft side lasts and no green eyed monster appears!! :fl

She may well outweigh him Wishing  Her parents are a cocker & a full springer but Keepers are a cocker & a sprocker. Tally’s father is much bigger than Keeper’s!

Fingers crossed she makes a good working dog for Scott. Can’t see why not as all her relatives are working. Got to see her mother, father, grandma, great grandma and uncle today. They were a lovely family and although a lot of the hardened working people put their dogs to sleep when their working careers are over this family have kept them all as pets. Was lovely to see a whole a big dog family all living in their house!

Great to see that Tally is being accepted so well at this early stage. Keepers new coat looks very smart but is this just an extension of your rug OCD???? Does a spaniel really need a coat? They are such active dogs!

I had my Hoisin Duck Noodles today and you were right, they were delicious..... not the sort of thing you can eat with any delicacy.... I would not want to eat them in company but happy to scran them in private..... the noodles were all stuck together so it was a large mouthful or nothing. Yes I did a Supermarket sweep, or in fact a triple Supermarket Sweep! The only reason I eventually went shopping was to get chicken and cat food because I was very, very low. I would have managed for myself for another week, but once I was up there it made sense to shop for all of us and you had me salivating to try that Hoisin Duck!

One of my old girls has started laying eggs again, so my egg drought is, dare I say it, over and one of my pullets is starting to pink up a bit, so hopefully I might see an egg from her in the next couple of weeks. She is so timid though that I worry she is not getting enough to eat. I try to feed her separately, but she is so terrified of me and all the other chickens that she just looks to escape every time I approach her..... being a flighty leghorn doesn't help matters. She is filling out a little though and pooping so she must be getting something.

Anyway, I must go as I still have evening stables to do. Hope you are having a relaxing evening.

Best wishes

Barbara
