Harry Potter or twilight?

I couldn't make it through the first Twilight novel, but I have read all the Harry Potters. I have read much better children's fantasy than HP, but it is still a good series. I like the continuing character development, especially of some of the non-lead characters, I like the way issues of friendship, sacrifice, duty, maturity and death are dealt with in the Potter series.

As for the Twilight series, I found it derivitive and juvenile. While it is written for tween/teen girls, it seemed very unsophisicated in approach. That being said...I'll probably give it another try, just to see what all the hoopla is about. Maybe I was just in a mood when I started reading it.

That's funny. We had a chicken named BuckBeak. Looked just like the bird part of him!

I love both but if I had to choose I'd say twilight saga I couldn't put the books down, but I've always had a thing for vampires since I was a kid. My fav movie as a teenager was Lost boys.

I love the Twilight Saga...I just started reading them the Sat after Thanksgiving and I am already on the last book...halfway done....I could never get interested in The Harry Potter stuff..my boys couldn't either...

So I think the official gauge of which is better is which has more chickens named after its characters, and so far hp is winning. any twilight chickens?
