Harry Potter or twilight?

I liked both book series very much BUT HARRY POTTER without a doubt!

Harry Potter is so wonderfully written with unlimited imagination and creativity!

Harry Potter films are hands down the winner over Twilight. Twilight is interesting as a simple, teenage romance but needs the female character to come into her own.

As for vampire stories I prefer Ann Rice's Vampire series better than Twilight any day. I have to add at this point I really enjoyed Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series) and Angel over ANY vampire series on TV or movie--ever. VERY well written, deep characters and intricate story lines.

Avid Vampie fan!!

From Buffy to Angel, to Anne Rices Chronicles... fantastic...

Twilight - Love it, and have read all four books - the last two twice. Films adored them both (great escapism) Team Edward for Me....

Harry Potter - fantastic - read all the books, not seen the last movie as yet... spellbinding and captivating....

Difficult for me to choose between the two really... love them all.........

I haven't read the Twilight books yet because I am not into romance. I might like them because I like fantasy. I did look through the books. They weren't really well written but that doesn't mean that the story line isn't good. I have read books that I thought were excellently written that put me to sleep because the story line was so bad, and I have read poorly written books that kept my interest because the story was great.

The Harry Potter books are really written well and the characters have developed depth over the course of time. Rowling deals with some pretty big issues about morality and friendship in her novels.

If you want an example of a well written but boring set of books then try reading Proust. His writing is beautiful, but I found him almost painfully boring.
