Harry Potter or twilight?

I just watch HP #1.

Looooved it

So did my 2 year old and 4 year old.
Its rare we all share a movie we all really enjoy

Yes I can sit through cars, monsters inc, etc 100x but Id much rather it be HP

Loved Harry Potter! The movies had to skimp on a lot of details but loved the books! I wasn't going to read them, felt like they were kids books, till my (then) sixth grader talked me into it. He pulled the old guilt routine, "c'mon you used to read books with me all the time when I was little, wouldn't it be nice to share a book again?" Glad he talked me into it 'cause I love them! BTW he was right, it was nice being able to talk about a book together again. I've always liked stories about magic etc.
Not much into the vampire thing and I can't stand it when the female characters are not as strong as the male characters.

Twilight. I am 12 years old.

I'm younger than you. I'm a Potter fan. It just seems that the Harry Potter books just come alive. You read it, and then the entire wizarding world comes alive. Twilight is just to get a few preteen girls falling over. Come on.

At school lunch several days ago, two girls (from different classes) came uo to me. "Do you like Team Edward or Team Jacob?" they asked me. I was shocked. They must've forgotten who they were talking to. "What the heck?" was my reply.
One of the girls gave me a very dirty look.
"You know, Twilight?" she said. "Oh," I said.
"So ,do you like Team Edward or Team Jacob?"
"I don't really ca-"
"OH, NEVERMIND," she said. And walked off to trick some other girl.
So sad. That's why I read HP.

Nope, no Twilight-named farm animals here, although I might name a spare rooster Jacob just so I can kill Jacob.

And I maintain that Bella is not a weak female character

My 16 year old came home one day laughing about how the girls were all in love with Twilight. He said that vampires are supposed to be evil killing machines. He said he would rather watch the horror movies about the vampires destroying a village in Alaska during winter. Oh my, what was that movie? That is my son's idea of a vampire.
