I saw somewhere online that button quail eggs can be consumed (as small as they are).

But how does one go about it? How soon after laying do they need to be collected? How long do they last? How should they be stored until ready to use? Is there a way to know which are safe or fertile or not fertile?

Clearly I know nothing of this process.:hmm Any suggestions appreciated!

I have had them before, and they are DELISH!!!! they are kinda like a quail egg but smaller. I just fried it like a normal egg with some holadise sauce. as far as safety, we eat chicken and quail eggs don't we? they are safe to eat. I would eat them pretty fresh, like no older than 6 days. if the yolk is Really yellow i wouldn't eat it, because that means it is old. but yes, it is just like a chicken or quail egg!

So basically just store however you like( like with chicken eggs)
Wash or dont ( depending on preference) refridgerate or dont ( depending on preference) but no longer than a week stored and im assuming gather as soon as possible?
pretty much! I would recommend refrigerating, just in case. but again, just my personal preference!
