Yesterday in the late afternoon I heard a sound like a squirrel being strangled. I go to see what the racket is and it's Greybeard crowing! This morning I was able to get one crow on my camera. This guy is 14 weeks and 3 days old! He's very pretty however!!

Hot, Hot, HOT! It's been 104, 105 degrees daily here. I have plentiful containers of water in the runs (two each) and all around the free range area, mostly where there is afternoon shade. I caught one of my easter eggers standing in the dishpan but didn't have my camera. Later I found my barred rock in the cat litter box I got for a buck at dollar tree! She looked so happy and she closed her eyes and fell asleep! I put a little wading pool in the free range area yesterday too! :cool:
