Has anybody successfully hatched out thin shelled eggs?

I have a goose whose egg shells have been thin shelled and chalky lately. She's my best goose and I would like to try and get as many goslings out of her as possible.
Are the contents of thin shelled eggs okay or would they be deformed too?
Will they hatch out if I try to incubate them?

The shell quality on my exhibition Cornish isn't the best, sometimes chalky, sometimes looking very porus/uneven in thickness when candling.

My experience is that yes, they can hatch. The air cells can get very large on these types of eggs by day 18, I bump the humidity to closer to 50% than 45% for incubation. I don't have great luck with these eggs--maybe a 50% hatch rate.

I am trying a few things with their diet, and did have one bird on Tetracycline for another reason--but her eggs quality went way up when she was on it. I don't think it's a good idea just to improve egg quality, but it is tempting sometimes when I get frustrated with the eggs.

Well nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Guess I'll try to incubate those funky eggs.

Somebody told me to add 1 T. of apple cider vinegar to a gallon of drinking water to help improve the birds calcium utilization.

Where ar you located? Your Sebastopol Geese are beautiful... After seeing them I have to get some!!! are they loud honkers??? Do you sell eggs or one day old chicks? Thanks

I don't sell hatching eggs.
I might have some 2008 youngsters for sale in the Fall.
All geese can be loud at times...especially during the breeding season but Sebs, Pilgrims and American Buffs
are less noisy and agrressive than some of the other breeds.
