Has anyone else had a problem with priority mail lately?

I'm basically venting but almost every batch of eggs I've bought here lately had been handled rough by the PO and arrive with detached air cells or my favorite one is the two boxes of eggs from two different states that were shipped Monday and it's Thursday and they are still not at the PO! 2-3 days shipping my rear end! This is the first year I've ever had this problem. It's getting real old real fast. Has anyone else had this issue lately or had the PO just decided they hate me all of a sudden?

Try making a claim, our PO says that they do not guarantee that your package will be delivered in that period, it is just the time frame they hope to deliver it in.

I know they don't guarantee in that time frame but it's getting old. I use to never have a problem but so far all I've seen this year is people paying for priority service and getting snail mail service instead. One batch is from NC and one from Idaho. I could of drove to both and back by now. That's not a cost effective idea but 5 days is ridiculous for priority and that's IF they show tomorrow.

I totally agree that it is aggravating. If your order had been for day old chicks they would likely be DOA. I wish I knew of a solution, but the USPS is going downhill fast and no one cares. I can't even get my carrier to shut the door to my mail box and get soggy mail everytime it rains.
Hope you eggs arrive soon and in decent shape.

My mail carrier does not shut my mailbox either! Drives me insane. The sad thing about the eggs is they were both in Cincinnati yesterday. I'd go get them from there but I know they are probably sitting in a truck somewhere and it's colder than crap outside. Hoping they didn't freeze last night!

I had that problem with my very first batch of shipped eggs. They came from about 4 hours south of me and took 5 days to get to me. None hatched. Now I ordered some from PA (I'm in IL) and they got here in 4 days but the box was damaged. I feel your pain.

I live in such a rural area the post man calls me and holds any egg packages at the PO for me.

They hold mine too but I asked them to because I'm not usually home when the mail carrier delivers and I didn't want any packages to sit in freezing our blistering hot conditions for 6+ hours till I get off work. This is just sad. Been wanting these two breeds for a while and now I'm losing hope of anything hatching cause of the PO.

I was just informed by someone I shipped eggs to that the PO attached a orange tag that says live animals to the box! Yes, I stuffed live animals into a insufficient box that is completely taped shut with no air holes in it. Of course the other box I shipped to the same person arrived with one cracked egg in it. If they would have took as much care with the one box as they did with the one they marked live animals then it would have arrived OK too!!! LMAO!

I really wish we could ship via the other carriers. The PO in general just doesn't care any more.

I called a couple weeks ago about a priority package that was showing that it was sitting about 5 hours away from me for 24 hours, and before I even had a chance to start complaining I was told in a snarky tone that it would still arrive within the 2-3 day timeframe. Good grief. I was just expressing my frustration that had I known my eggs were going to sit that far away from me for an extra day past the projected delivery date, I'd have made the drive to rescue them!

Thankfully, our carrier is very nice. If you can get past the smell of the packages from all her chainsmoking in her car.
