Here are our 17 chicks, in our old jacuzzi tub (thick plastic lined, then paper lined, then pine shavings). I did not buy the cover as it tends to be pricey. But it gives them extra space. I clean off the top once per day. I gave them grass/dirt in a pan for the first time today and they are figuring it out - a little leary about it. I like that the heating plate uses low energy and is easily adjustable. The top stays cool. the nipple waterers are the best!
