Has anyone ever had anything get through 1/4 in hardware cloth?

I used the 1/4" on the original part of my coop and then just used the 1/2" for the addition that I just built this past summer. Let's more air go through and it's just a little bit easier to clean with a Shop-Vac.
I just didn't feel the 1/4" was necessary, but if I was wrong I could always staple metal screening on the inside like I did on the original build. I installed 1/4" hardware cloth and stapled screening over it on the inside. I was cautious to a fault.
I bought all my fencing - both sizes of the hardware cloth and a million miles of chicken wire from the local farm supply store. It's kind of a feed mill/farming hardware/farm fencing old fashioned type place. Filthy, smelly, absolute heaven.
Their prices were the best and they cut what you need or you can buy the whole roll.

Wow that sounds nice. Yeah I wouldn't question and just go with the 1/2in if it weren't for this sale price. Other people have said it isn't THAT good, but I have yet to see anything better. It actually went down even further to $20, so I went ahead and bought a bunch. We'll see how it looks, fingers crossed!

Next time you buy look at going bulk. Thats about the cheapest way. Atwoods normally has the 100 to 150 ft rolls for a (gulp) decently somewhat affordable.... kinda price. You might also check out a place called klubertanz they specialize in rabbit raising equipment but one of my buddies buys pallets of wire from them. He builds and sells rabbit cages

Lol yeah I would if I could use/store it. I really only need one roll and maybe one or two as backup.
