Has anyone ever ordered from Our Flybabies in WI?

Just put an order through for 2 blue wheaten ameraucanas and wheaten marans! My perfect mix to add to my small flock, Ive been searching for and searching for. I hope they are not too good to be true :( I knew I should've checked here first but I just saw blue wheaten ameraucanas and marans. Anyone get any of these? How were their egg colors?
yes, that's what I ordered. Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas. No marans. But, they said some of their girls went broody and could they substitute some olive eggers instead of some of the ameraucanas since they probably couldn't get as many as I ordered, (12, I think). I said sure, thinking I would get no more than half of them as OE's.

Well, first of all, they shipped fewer than half the total number of birds I ordered. Only 1 was BWA, and she didn't survive the trip here, DOA.
The remainder of the chicks turned out to be, from what I could tell, Blue Andalusians, either BCMarans or potentially OE's, maybe marans, (they're mostly roosters and don't meet Marans specs, but, who knows), some funky mix of polish and some who may be marans or maybe not. I don't think I got any olive eggers, they're supposed to have pea combs, (which is visible at hatch), but none of them do.
I think one of the two hens, (yes that's about all I got, the rest all roos...), just started laying and is laying a darker egg - but it's nowhere near anything I've seen on a marans color chart. It's more like a dark sex link color.

Either they're experimenting a lot trying to cross breeds, or they don't keep their birds very segregated.

I paid $117 to them last spring for Dorking chicks- never rec any chicks. Called and spoke o Bob a couple of times who said his wife handles the orders but she works full time and it takes her a while to answer. Well its been nearly a year, I've spoken to Bob 3 times. emailed too many times to count and even contacted Paypal for a refund - which BTW they will not do as they have no guarantees on live animals - and they have never even had the courtesy to respond. I have never had to deal with a disreputable breeder before. It sullies the industry. I've asked Paypal to discontinue their ability to collect through them which if they get enough complaints they will do. Anyone els had dealings with these folks?
 
The issue with Paypal was that they do not offer the same protection on live animals as they do with other products. If I had known I would have not used paypal. On a happy note Flip Flop Ranch in Ca after having a bad year last year with their Dorkings, is in full swing this year. They sent emails announcing daily hatchings of Dorking chicks. I was wait listed from last year. I emailed them a couple of days ago to ask if they'd ship to northern CT and in 48 hours I received 2 dozen chick. Even when they were out of stock Serina at FFR returned ever email and kept everyone in the loop. If you have never heard of Dorking, look them up. If they are as good as the literature suggests, I will never eat store bought chicken again, plus it feels good to be breeding a bird that had almost disappeared.
 
I'm glad you ended up with what you wanted, but be glad you didn't get chicks from Our Flybabies. Of the ones I ordered, (I think it was about 30), they shipped about half of them. I believe I got some purebred black copper marans, but had to kill the roosters because they were so mean. I got a bunch of chicks I didn't order, of the whole bunch, only 1 is what I ordered. I do have to say, he's a Black Laced Wyandotte and he's a sweet, good boy. But, I think they have a lot of cross breeding and mutts.

Have you emailed them to ask for a refund? I got a partial one by being an e-mail pest.
 
I have emailed many times - prob 12 and they never respond. I'm considering emailing them everyday and leaving voice mails messages until they at least respond. These people should not be breeding birds, they seem to have no idea what they are doing and their business practices are appalling. I'll let you know if they respond. And only one out of 30 - you should've gotten a full refund!!
