Ah, maybe thats what happened. It looked like it was swallowing alot of the fluid in the shell. I will try to massage it, lets hope thats what it is.

I would leave it alone. They absorb liquid through their body at this stage, the yolk etc. I have had chicks like that and if you leave them in the warm brooder with less humidity they normally do fine and reabsorb the water/liquid. Massaging to throw up runs the risk of aspirating the bird.

" LUMPY " is looking a little better today!

The lump has went down a little. I had a feeling it might have been in his crop. The "lump" was sort of on the side of his neck and it was almost drowning in the shell. The other 2 did not have any liquid in the shell, this one had alot of liquid and it looked like it was trying to drink it or it was drowning, so I helped it, it didn't peep for a while and I thought it was a goner. But after I put a paper towel in its mouth to absorb some of the goop, it started peeping again. WHEW.. I usually do not try to help, but figured what did I have to lose? The kids think mommy is a great chickie doctor (lets hope it makes it) and thats all that matters. "LUMPY" will be with us forever is Mother Nature allows it! Wish Lumpy well! Thanks for all the help!
