Ok, I took a peek in the coop this afternoon to find one of my black- sexlink hens standing in the nest box...she appeared to be straining, so I slowly walked over to her, and it sort of concerned me, as I could hear her actually making straining noises, she would take a deep breath and strain some more, and I was like what the heck, so I petted her on the head, asked if she was ok, and she strained some more, and then plop! Out came an egg!!! Now, I am sure I have "caught" some of my other girls in the act before, but I never noticed chicken groaning while shoving out an egg, I have to laugh as I write this, as after thinking about what I saw, it was kinda funny, but at the time I was like, what the heck?? Anyone else experience this? [IMG]

Yes, I interrupted my Lil' Bit in the middle of that the other day. Always makes me want to say excuse me! and leave real quick.
