Has anyone received chicks from Meyer in this heat?

How are they doing? I have chicks coming next week and I am worried about what kind of condition they will arrive in.

I did last Thursday, heat index made it feel like 106. There were 79 of them. All survived except one was trampled.

I live in Ohio and I always go and pick them up from Meyer. If you can manage it - it would be way better for them.

Mine came a month ago end of June it wasn't this hot but they were all fine...

95 and I am in Alabama. Thanks tribalacres. If they made it to you maybe I'll be ok. I always expect 1 but was concerned it might be way higher. I only have 25 coming.

Oh goodness! Sorry! Nevermind I thought you were local. I didn’t realize Meyer had such a reach. I thought it was a just a local hatchery that I happen to live near.

That's ok. Meyer and Mcmurray are the two I have used. First time for Meyer. I don't know of any hatcheries in Alabama other than those for the big broiler houses.

I'm in Missouri mine shipped Monday and got here this morning, so two days. All were dead. It was a replacement for an all dead bunch that I got in June.

I’m in MS and my chicks cane from Ideal Poultry in TX. That was 2 weeks ago but it wasn’t quite this hot. Every day this week has been a scorcher in the south.
