Has anyone received chicks from Meyer in this heat?

95 and I am in Alabama. Thanks tribalacres. If they made it to you maybe I'll be ok. I always expect 1 but was concerned it might be way higher. I only have 25 coming.

You’re welcome. Meyers is all we’ve used, over ten times. They are great with replacements but we’ve also built a great relationship with our local post office and they usually call us before they open and we go and pick them up. If you haven’t I would Try to make a call up there.

I received 6 chicks from Meyer in late June, and it is (and was) in the triple digits here. They shipped USPS Express, which was amazing, and they made it safely in just under 24 hours (OH to CA). Part of what helped was that they made the several hour journey north from the USPS hub in the air-conditioned Express van. Not sure if our outcome would have been as good if they'd come Priority.

Got chicks from McMurray just today! All alive. It’s been 90s in VA. At least it feels 90s plus. I was thinking the chicks would be okay since we are supposed to brood them in the 90s ...?

To me, better hot summer than freezing winter. Chicks need the heat.

I'm in Missouri mine shipped Monday and got here this morning, so two days. All were dead. It was a replacement for an all dead bunch that I got in June.

They came from Meyer? Oh my that’s what I am afraid of.

We live in a small county (13000) where we know most everybody in the county. I went by and talked to them a couple weeks ago but I think I will go back Friday just to remind them.

Did you specify that or did they do that? I may have to see if I can get that done if it’s not to late.

When were yours shipped?

The afternoon of the 14th. Yesterday.

Usps tracking says they will arrive tomorrow. Usps only has one delivery early in the morning to our town.
Hoping they are on it and i get that phone call to pick them up otherwise it will be the next day. Ugh... their coming from Oregon to South Carolina.
