Both are fiesty and keep up with the rocks and Marans.
The Grey one is actually bigger than some of the rocks at 1 month.
Loved the Lavender chicks! We will try some of those next.

I have had both terrible quality and one who is actually pretty nice from Ideal.

Heres the fairly good girl, Lulu, she has correct toes and nice foot feathering and a nice crest:

Now the not so good silkie, Lola. Though she is a great broody.

I must say, if you're going to get silkies from a hatchery, go to murray mcmurray. I have a very beautiful, compact, and correct hen from them. Even the roo we got from them was fairly nice. Heres fluffy:

Sorry it took so long to post some of the adults. Between rain and meetings I haven't had much of a chance to photograph them. Here are a few of them. All of the ones I ordered have 5 toes, black skin, etc. There is one male that has started to develop a raspberry color on his wattles and a faint raspberry color on his comb. The rest have black combs.

Your birds are very pretty. However, I have decided that I am going to attempt to get eggs I can hatch at home from a fellow BYCer who has top of the line show quality birds. Not that some of the birds I have seen from hatcheries aren't pretty, but mostly because I am very poor and hatching eggs is cheaper then purchasing live chicks. Thank you everyone for your stories and pictures of your hatchery silkies, all are very lovely. May good fortune shine down on all of you and your birds. God Bless!
