Problem? Chicken addiction is a problem?

These are people who think going out in your PJ's or barefoot is just wrong and their kids are not allowed outside unless they are with them. Their son is 10 and well over 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. If I am a hillbilly according to my neighbor's standards, then they are just going to have to learn to live with it.

I have known some darn fine hillbillies and am proud to be one. So how else might I convince them to build the inevitable fence? Oh this a whole other topic...

I'm sorry I knew my comment would be like shaking that can of worms and I just don't know what is wrong with me this week I can't help but be so sarcastic.... And so please know that I was only making a tongue in cheek funny & i agree that I've know many fine "hillbillies". I'd much rather the hillbillies (even the ones not so fine) than those straight laced going through like with a stick up their butts and a germ phobia. I mean going outside in bare feet is wrong? LOL to me this just explains it ALL! Frankly if I had them as neighbors and they were NOT having qan issue with me I'd be afraid there's something wrong with me too! LOL

I am so glad your chicks showed up! It is soooooo nerve wrecking when they are MIA!!!

I ordered from Meyer in February- my chicks were shipped in late May:rolleyes: They were shipped on a Monday morning- and I got them on Thursday- none survived-when I opened the box, I could have cried looking at those poor things! I only live about 100 miles from them.... Meyer did refund my money only because the chicks I ordered ( welsummers) were over booked and they could not "guarentee" when my order could be resent...I had the same problem- no one knew where they were because it was a prepaid internet postage thing and wasn't scanned-EVER so, I still don't have any welsummers

I think Meyer has a shipping problem- two weeks before my order came, I got an order from them AFTER they called and said my order would be delayed 2 weeks... When I called them, they said they did not ship me any chicks or at least they couldn't find an order stating they had...I don't know, seems fishy to me!!!

Just my thoughts!!

Sending happy thoughts for your chicks!!!!

Jane

Don't worry about offending me and there's nothing wrong with you. I happened to enjoy your sarcasm.

Jane, that's just awful! I couldn't imagine the feeling of opening a box of dead chickies. I am so sorry for that experience. I still don't know if my problem happened with the hatchery or the post office and I am also under 100 miles from them.
