Why? Mainly, just 'cause it's so much fun to speculate!
Personally, I'm not a big fan of dux, either - unless they're roasted - but I'll probably end up with a few at some point, if only because DD is so insistent. So far, I've been able to hold her off, but I don't know how much longer I can do that. I feel the need for naked-necks, and once they follow me home, dux will soon follow. So far, I've been able to resist. We'll see how long that lasts!

Today is day 22 .. they obviously did not hatch in day 21...

What am I looking at here? They do not look like normal eggs...
