It is a type of wasp that burrows in the ground. I forgot the name of it but I found some holes in the ground in his pen so I am thinking that is what got him.

Hi Yoda and everyone, I have a duck with swelling in the same general area. I was wondering, if you can remember, did you do anything to help your guy along with the healing process? I'm not sure exactly what happened to my duck, but am looking for some ideas as to how to treat her. Does this look like a sting to you?
