You could try a crop bra, one of my hens has something similar, and the crop bra helped food to pass through overnight, and she’s doing much better now

I bought a couple of these before but never seemed to get a decent fitYou could try a crop bra, one of my hens has something similar, and the crop bra helped food to pass through overnight, and she’s doing much better now
They are all about 3.5 years old and everyone else is acting normally so I will hold off on the Corid. How old are they? Is the other chicken sick?
It wouldn’t hurt to treat them, though I don’t think coccidiosis can directly lead to a sour crop. I think the idea is more that an imbalance in the digestive tract caused by coccidiosis can lead to a yeasty/sour crop. If she and your other flock members are acting fine, I wouldn’t treat for coccidiosis. If coccidiosis is causing a problem, usually the chicken will act pretty sick.
I know you really care about her and that this is a stressful ailment to treat, I’m sorry you’re going through this with her. I wouldn’t worry too much if you’ve seen her drinking, she is probably okay and doesn’t need any help yet. You’re very attentive and keeping a good eye on her. Offer her some electrolytes by holding a dish up to her beak while she is roosting tonight and that should give her a good chance to drink and rehydrate if she feels like she needs to before bed. If she doesn’t take nah don’t be alarmed. You said she was alert and eating all day, she was likely drinking, also.
Let her get a good nights rest and keep us updated on her.
You’re very welcomeThey are all about 3.5 years old and everyone else is acting normally so I will hold off on the Corid.
She drank some probiotic/electrolyte water on her own before bed tonight. Should I let her eat normally or continue to keep food at a minimum? She had a scrambled egg or two today, plus the oil, and some bugs. (I watched to make sure no grass)
Thank you for the help and kind words.
Still no shrinkage.I’m sorry I just realized I didn’t post this article for you. I think you’ve said you read it, already. But I’ll put it here anyways:
