Has to be a two-legged predator

Just another reason I have pad locks on my coops and pens and runs and.... and .....

My neighbor used to sneak and take eggs (from my breeding flock). I put up a stealth cam and a trip wire. They tripped! I hope they hurt themselves. They never been back... and after they tripped they got up to realize I had just put padlocks on everything, so it was all for nothing! lol Love it.

Seriously. Padlocks. Search ebay for stealth cams used. I'd send you mine free if it still worked.

I hate to say it but it could be that either they are taking them for their own flock, taking them to resale, or perhaps make into dinner. Hope you find out who's doing it. Padlocks only go so far, especially in rural areas where most people have a pair of fence cutters or bolt cutters. If possible get ahold of a few guineas, if you're a light sleeper and the coops are close enough them birds will sound the alarm next time someone comes by. Your neighbors might even hear them during the day. Might want to consider running electric fence with high voltage around your perimeter.

Yup, I also am in favor of the electric fence. When I thought I had night time 2-legged predators, I put up very, very thin trip wires at ankle and face height, right through my woods by the coop. Funny enough, the problems stopped.

My neighbor was dying to get the hot wires out though, to "light their a$$ up"

Funny all males.

Someone is getting rid of the noise makers.

Male ducks aren't noise makers. The girls, however, yikes! LOL

Game cameras run around $250 depending upon which one you want. now if you know anybody who hunts and has one ask if you can borrow it.
Just a thought, mount it in a box built like a nesting box for wild birds, might fool the theif. Make sure they can't take it though.

Practice gun control. We target practice and have dogs that are ACD's but they are trained very well. No one gets by them. No one makes friends with them. No one! We have an underground fence for the dogs and it works to keep them on the property and they can be out. I am here all the time because I am disabled so I am the eyes for everyone. I know how to shoot and I practice repeatedly especially when new people are around - the line crew, the loggers at the farm up the road. They all think I am crazy. The neighbors that know me appreciate that I put on a good act.

I was coming to suggest the wildlife camera. Just be sure to put it where they won't see that and take it too. $15.00 is way less than you are losing.
