Hatch-a-long Countdown!!!

I set 8 ducks on the 11th... so my day 1 was the 12th. Their due date is the 8th of May! I'm so excited!

My eggs are actually due May 8, too! Keep us updated on your hatch! What kind of ducks are you hatching?

That's great PoultryGirly! Can't wait to hear about yours! Where's the best place to keep people posted since I'm new to BYC? Should I just post on your countdown... but I don't want to be rude. :) I'm so excited to go in to class today and candle! I'm hatching ducks in my 3rd grade classroom. I have 6 Pekin duck eggs and 2 Rouen eggs. I don't think one of my Rouen duck eggs is unfertilized.

Sadly, one of my Pekin eggs had a blood ring. =( The other 7 are moving around but one of the Rouen ducks isn't moving very much while the others move around a lot. I hope that's not a bad thing.

I've so been worried about the humidity rising when I mist. I usually "whoosh" the air out and stabilize.

I'm sorry to hear about the blood ring. Did you remove it from the 'bator? I removed one yesterday :( I'm glad your other eggs are doing fine, and it's perfectly normal for some eggs to be less active than others. Sometimes they sleep in the eggs, so if they aren't moving now, check again in a few hours. What's the highest that the humidity has gotten? If it gets too high during misting, I wouldn't mist.
