A few days should be fine. I sometimes use an incubator as a temporary brooder for a few days (if all of the others have hatched and are out of there). I just did that with a few ultra-teeny king quail hatchlings, because they were way too small to be with the others in the brooder. Keep the vents wide open, and you may need to adjust the temperature down a little. Hatchlings can make the temperature rise in there.Slate’s feet are taped and of course went immediately to sleep. We want to keep him/her separate from the other brood for awhile. Would it be okay to use the incubator for a couple of days as long as we put water and feed in it?
