Hatch-A-Long (May-June)

What day of incubation are you on?
I have a question abot candling. Today I candled a few of my eggs and I think I saw veins in one or two of them but their were some with big blobs. They didn't look they would be chicks but looked like maybee it was the yolk or something. It was like this in a lot of them but their were some that didn't have it at all so I'm really not sure what it was. Does that mean there's a chick inside, or that its going rotten, is it in anyway normal. I might not have a bright Enough flash light so I may try a different candling method but I was just curious what it might be.

number 8 is a grey blue color!

It's day 7 I guess I should have mentioned that. Haha also the blob I'm seeing is pretty big it seems like it takes up most of the egg and it isn't small like a chick would be at this stage. I can post pictures tomorrow if that would help. I'm fairly new to candling and the last time I incubated they didn't look like this. It's possible the fact that these were shipped eggs changed it but I'm really not sure?

I love seeing the pics of your newly hatched chicks it makes me even more excited. Even though their in the alien like stage I think they look pretty cute! I hope the rest hatch soon! :)

By day 7 you should see veins and movement. But that doesn't mean it's not developing. A pic would help. How are you incubating them? On their side or standing up? I noticed a Huge difference in appearance between the two positions. My first batch which are hatching now were on their sides. I was pretty confident when i would candle those. My duck eggs were shipped so i have those incubating upright. I was not Confident in candling those, still am not. I think i see poor veins and a darker mass but it might be the yolk position because if i look close i see definant movement in the eggs
