Yes I set them in a egg carton 24 hrs.When you got them, did you put them in an egg carton the way that they should be, and let them sit for at least 12 to 16 hours before putting them in your incubator? Then if you intend to use a automatic turner, set them in there but don't turn the turner on for the first 2 or 3 days. What are you trying to hatch?
My Crested Cream Legbars all came from blue eggs. I have a cockerel and 3 pullets of those. One of the girls has a really nice crest that I like.

I got a rare breed surprise mix and that may have had Legbars in it.
Are they the Crested one's? I made sure that the one's that I got are from the blue eggs, because some of them can come from tinted green eggs.
All done! In the end, only three eggs didn't hatch. Looks like one tried but got rolled over by the other chicks and didn't make it. Ended up with a 88% hatch rate!
