no worries candyman......same thing happened to me on my last hatch, we had a power outage that lasted for 4 hrs and the temp of my fridgeabator went down to 85 and humidity down to 30% from the 65% i always run.....they were in their 17th day, one day before lockdown and everything went well....since my fridge is pretty old and the seal around the door was all messed up, i went to the hardware store and got me some foam seals (the ones used around window air conditioner units) and now it maintains both temp and humidity in a test run i did without eggs....i unpluged it and let it sit for 1 hr and from 100 temp went down to 99 same thing with humidity from 65% went down to 58%......i dont know on what day your in but i was told by other members that chicks already can maintain their interior heat at that number of days for a while because the themp inside the incubator is not the same as the temp inside the shell......so no worries....God willing everything will be allright, especially with the Mcgyver action you took in the situation.......Today we had a power cut for 2 hours!! My incubator is not that well insulated, thats what I learned today. In half hour the temp was down to 88FSo I took the eggs out and took them to my Gas Room Heater. In front of that I managed to get the temp upto 95 but the humidity was 10%.... I put a damp cloth over it and got the humidity to 35%. That job was hectic. I hope they are OK in there. Now they are back in the incubator and the temp and humidity back to 100F and 39%.![]()
