Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

Okay so I stumbled across something really odd today, I have one adult silkie that is laying, a rooster, and 4 young 3 month olds. Well when I went to check on them just now, all silkies except one were sleeping together in a spot, and way across from them was one of the 3 month olds laying on a nest, I went over to see her because they usually sleep together. I picked her up and lo and behold she was sitting on an egg! I know she couldn't have laid it, as shes only 3 months old and still fairly small. So I'm guessing she took it over from the hen that is laying. Now I'm wondering if I should let her have it? I guessing shell abandon it, but I have an incubator so I can just pop it in so that's not a problem, but would it affect her. Its possible she just thought it was a nice place to sleep. I really don't know, I'll check again in there morning when I feed.

hello fellow hatchers, just got in and found 2 hatched of my barnyard mix and several pips. a little worried of my hatch rate of this hatch.....

.....i was at my neighbors house and he is an addict too of this hobby and always has pretty good hatching rates but this time around his rate hit the floor ...out of 90 quails he only got 5 and out of 50 eggs he only got 12, that was yesterday and he told me that this was a result of the lunar eclipse we had on nov 28. with this in mind, i noticed that i only have around 6 pips of the whole 60+ eggs i have due for tomorrow, and probably thats what happened with my remaining 2 old enlish bantams that couldnt bust the shell and died. anyone else had this happen on their hatching rates?........anyway here some pics...

We set 10 in the incubator, 9 of them made it to hatch. One was not fertile at all on the first check. All 9 of the ones set to hatch have hatched today!! This makes our 3rd 100% hatch rate.. or what I am considering 100% hatch. I have been counting the hatch rate for the ones that make it to lockdown and how many break free of the egg and survive. So far, except the one that was not fertile at all, have made it. WE have 24 more in the incubator set to hatch 12/15 and 12/25 so we shall see if it continues!
