Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

I'm worried about my chick's. It's day 17 and my marans eggs look perfect. The other breeds only look like it's on day 14 or 15 when comparing to other pictures. Not sure what I should do. All are alive and moving. I've had the temp probe in a water wiggler at 99.7 on average with 30-40% humidity. Should I continue with lock down tomorrow even if the other breeds seem to be a bit behind? I hope they all hatch..

If was in that situation, I would proceed to lockdown. Yours temp and humidity looks perfect, I hope all will go ok, also if the marans eggs were smaller than the other breeds egg, they would hatch earlier. (I am not an expert because this is my first hatch, but I am telling from what I have read, and I read alot)

Well candleing went well! 17 eggs went in and we are down to 13 now 2 eggs had obvious death rings and 2 were infertile (the infertile ones were from my hens...I only have 2 hens to my roo..he wasn't doing his job lil turd). Most eggs we saw babies dancing in..some were too dense to see more than veining...I will try those again in a few days for final elimination. My kids were So excited to see the babies growing!!

I have pictures of the insides of our eggs that we pulled..I'll post later

Well that's the weird thing... The marans eggs are the largest. I also have quite a few Iowa Blues eggs in there and they are notorious for being difficult to hatch... This is my 2nd attempt on them. There are a couple other breeds as well.... So maybe different breeds develop slower? I'll be so sad if I messed something up so that they don't hatch...
I'm worried about my kids ;)

Here is me turning my eggs.^^ It's really bright because of the flash going off on my camera.

These next three pictures are of the same egg that died on day 7, that I plucked out on day 12-13. I tried to get a good picture of it.

The things in the water are marbles. lol

A random question: Can chickens eat popped pop corn? I just randomly thought that...?

Yes it went off at about 2 am last night, thought you just turned it off,

You know your addicted to chickens when you can tell when the cam is off air,

Funny story: My husband last night went to be early because he is not feeling well, I was up watching tv and next thing I know he came in the living room asking is it time to turn the eggs, poor man. He has been bitten by the chicken bug

I am going to fix a hairline crack in one of my eggs later with non- toxic Elmer's glue. I don't trust myself with candle wax... :3 Maybe pictures?

Hmmmm the glue says that it is washable. Should I still use it? Should I use candle wax instead? I don't really want to use nail polish... Maybe I should just leave it alone until hatch day, and hope it doesn't die...? What do you's think?
